Model Composition - T2 Compo Package (Action Words)

Hi Kids

Pls read below for sample of your peers' composition writing. I will print two of the compositions below for discussion tomorrow. Meanwhile, you could use the phrases and descriptive words used by your classmates to make their composition more interesting.

Compo 1 - Larissa Tan

"Rrriinng!" the school bell tolled cacophonously. The whole neighbourhood could even hear the bells. The sky was filled with dark and threatening clouds. The raging winds holwed and echoed the neighbourhood. It was numbing and inclement. Students were like a bat out of hell, scuttling out with polychoromatic colours and umbrellas and raincoats. They had to catch the first bus in the afternoon or they had to wait a longer period of time for next one.Russell looked at the gloomy weather. He had turned a deaf to his mother's words, "Remember to bring your umbrella!" Facing the consequences, he has to trudge on to the bus stop at his school.

Unfortunately, there were no signs of the only bus he could take after ten minutes. The rain splattered into the bus stop and the seats were wet. He intended on crossing to the other side of the road. He carried his bag and took his first step out. He dashed across the roadsnot looking where he was going.

"Ouch!" Russell slipped, tottered and fell backwards. He had stepped on a slippery path and knocked down many things. His books and files dropped out of his bag and he landed with a loud thud. Under the rain, he tried to get up but could only bend his back and walk slowly. The raindrops splattered onto the granite floor, creating concentric ripples in the puddles.Russell made his way home finally and took a quick bath and applied some medical oil on the bruises and cuts.

He knew he had to face the music later.

Compo 2 - Tasha Sun

The rain seemd endless with the monotonous flash and bangs of lightning and thunder. Adam sat on the bus stop benchm shivering in the cold. He had just missed the bus and had to wait for another one, expect it would come ten minutes later!

Frustrated Adam hefted his bag over his head and ran quickly. Adam was drenchedm as his bag was not as big as an umbrella to shelter his whole body. Adam was worried if he would be struck by lightning so he ean like the wind to keep himself safe.

"Ouch!" Adam cried out and fell down on his back. All the books and stationery spilled out from his bag. There were minor cuts and bruises on his back, shoulders and knees. Coincidentally, a police officer was making his rounds and found Adam. The policeman asked Adam for his address and sent him back home in a jiffy. Adam heaved a sigh of relief when he saw his mother. He learnt his lesson that he needs to bring an umbrella whenever he goes and he should always walk slowly and carefully.
