Compo Term 3 writing package- opening speech(using speech)

Ian-

“ Vrrrrroommm!” a motorbike sped like the wind pass them. An old man was lying on the road, helplessly. My neighbour, John, and I immediately rushed to help the old man. “We were on our way to the community centre to play basketball when a motorbike sped pass, knocking the old man,” I reported to the police.

         “Let’s go!” I shouted impatiently. Tom drifted the basketball left and right. I could not wait any longer, I ran towards Tom snatching the ball from him and shooting it towards the goal.

       “Screech” That sound bursted in my ears as I got the ball. “What was that?” Tom said with eyes wide open. I ran towards the road, my legs stood rooted to the ground and my jaws dropped. As Tom was huffing and puffing, I told him that a motorcyclist had knocked down an old man but sped off.

­­ ‘Bang!’ I looked up. A motorbike whooshed past. Next, I saw an old man lying motionless on the road. I felt devastated and shocked! What could I do? Bring him to the hospital or leave him there?

     “Hello Paul! Are you going to play basketball?” I asked.” Wait a while please! I am wearing my socks and shoes!” Paul replied. “Quickly! I am going down to house downstairs.” I said as went down the stairs. “Okay!” He said. When I reached the house down and I saw him downstairs at his flat. We decide to walk to the Community Centre. When we reached the Community Centre, we saw a crowded of people on the nearby road.”Hey , Paul do you want go and see what are they crowding at?” I said. “Okay, fine.” He replied. They went to the crowd and an old  man lying on the road. The crowd of people said “A motorcyclist had knock the old man”.

“Kim, want to go play basketball downstairs near the                  community centre? I asked my neighbor, Kimberly, excitedly.

“Sure! Let’s go then!” Kimberly replied in a great mood tone.    

We talked and chatter down the street to the basketball court. “Bang!” A sudden loud crash disturbed us. We turned around quickly in the direction of the crash. Soon, we spotted a motorcyclist rushing off with full speed and an old man lying on the floor injured.

As soon as possible, we rushed to help. A commotion started at the place.

“Mum, can I go to the park with our neighbour?” I

asked.

“Yes. You may” Mum replied.

“Come on, Shi han!” I said

As we are walking down the road, we saw a man knocked the old man and ran off. We went to see what happened.

“Are you okay?” said Shi han.

“I am fine.” said the old man in a slowly and weakly voice.

“ Shall we take you to the doctor for checkup? Shi han and I said together.

“Shall we go down to the basketball court near the community centre?” said Shannon.

I replied excitedly, “of course, let me take my basketball, backpack and my favourite basketball shoe!”

       While walking to the road, we saw a motorcyclist had down an old man and sped off. We quickly went to check on the old man sitting on the floor. “Are you all right?” said Shannon.

            “I am fine. Thank you!” replied the old man with a slow and weak voice.

          “Shall we take you to the clinic?” said Shannon and I.
Suddenly, we heard, “ Ouch!’ The old man cried in pain.

  “Ouch!!!” screamed an old woman, being hit by a truck on a dark night. The driver sped off without helping her to the hospital. My father and I ran towards the lady and helped her to the hospital. We asked, “Could you give us some description of the driver?” and she replied, “He wore a black mask, black shirt and a long black jeans with a black pair of gloves.

It was a bright and sunny day. I yawned and woke up from my sleep, I did all my morning chores and I asked my parents if I could go and play basketball with my neighbour Tommy, they allowed me to go with him to the basket ball court. I went to my neighbour’s house and asked him if he could play with me basketball; he agreed. As we were walking towards the basketball court, we suddenly heard a loud, “BANG”.

“Hurry Up Joey! We got to reach there by 4 o’clock!” I shouted while Joey was taking her own sweet time walking to the community centre. “Wait…there are still cars on the road.” Joey told me while pulling me back.

‘‘I bet I could play better than you this time round,” I said to my neighbour, Mary, as we were walking to the basketball court. Suddenly, a motorcycle zoomed past us and knocked down an old man that is crossing the road. A thousand and one thoughts flashed through my mind. “Who could be this motorcyclist?”

“Hurry!”  I said with excitement. As my neighbour and I rushed  to play basketball. While we were rushing, “Bang!” a motorcyclist had knock down a kind old man and sped off! I was scared about the motorcyclist. The kind old man was groaning in pain loudly on the road flat as a pancake. A pool of blood around him and everybody was shocked. Someone can an ambulance to bring to kind onld amn to the hospital. Before the ambulance, some people help the old man to safety. I was very worried about the old man so I help the old man too.

“Let’s play basketball! I challenge you to a match,” exclaimed Pete. “Okay, I will go get the basketball,” I replied. Pete yelled, “Quick! It’s nearly time for tuition.” Pete and I raced down the stairs. As we walked briskly along the pavement, a horrible screeching sound could be heard from afar .Just as we were running towards the scene, a red motorcycle sped off in our opposite direction. We stopped dead in our tracks, looking at an ambulance rushing to the nearest hospital. A child and some adults cried and a few passers-by looked frustrated. I knew what it meant that instance.

“Crash” Irfan and I looked around we saw an old man lying unconsciously on the road. “What level in aq?” “I am level 25 in aq!” We were on the way to the basketball at a nearby community centre and you saw the car knocked down the old man and sped off.

“Bang!” the motorcyclist had knocked an old man. My neighbour, Mary and I saw the old man badly hurt. Well, it just a few hours ago. As Mary and I were going to the basketball court to play basketball at a nearby community centre, we saw an old man crossing the road. Suddenly, there was a motorcyclist driving very fast. “Watch out, Uncle!” Mary exclaimed! “Bang!” the poor old man was groaning with pain and a pool of blood surrounded him.

  “Bang!”  “Oh my god! What Just happened?” I exclaimed. “I don’t know. Just when I was about to score, that old man fell to the ground, distracted me and I was about to win the game.” replied Jake. “Let’s check it out.” I continued.

“What a nice day!”, said my neighbour,Tom, as we walk to the community centre. We were about to walk into the community centre went we heard a sound “Bang!!!” behind us. “What was that!!!”, exclaimed Tom. “I don’t know.”, I replied. We turned around to see what happened.

“Hi…, how are you all doing in school” I asked my friends. We had always met up for basketball practice every Sunday. “Oh, we are doing just……..” Before they could answer, a loud “BANG!” interrupted. We spun around just to see a motorist speeding off after hitting an old man. We wanted to call the police but we were so scared that we stood rooted to the ground.

             “What happened here?” I asked. “Oh I see! An old man is knocked down by someone!” said my neighbour.  “Old man, are you okay?” we asked curiously. The old man said while groaning in excruciating pain, “I was knocked down by an absent-minded motorcyclist.” I asked my neighbour,” Let’s help him.” We helped him in a jiffy because blood was oozing out rapidly.
